For Melanie, beauty has never just been a career; it’s been a lifelong passion.
As a 4th Generation Jeweler, Melanie was raised in a family whose jewelry business has been serving generations of customers for more than 120 years. She grew up learning that the pieces we wear often become part of our story. That passion for craftsmanship and helping people feel extraordinary eventually led her to open her own jewelry store in Los Angeles.
At just 17 years old, Melanie began her journey in the beauty industry, well before attending Capri Beauty School, where she developed the technical foundation that would launch an extraordinary career. Her artistry expanded into makeup, hairstyling, and wig design, eventually earning opportunities in the world of drag entertainment, special effects makeup, fashion, photography, and Hollywood productions. For decades, she has transformed not only appearances but the confidence of the people sitting in her chair.
Her passion for helping others extended beyond beauty. Melanie also founded a dance studio dedicated to children with special needs, creating a place where every child could experience the joy of movement, creativity, and belonging. Whether through beauty or service, her life’s work has always centered on helping people see the value and confidence within themselves.
Then life handed her a journey she never expected.
Experiencing hair loss herself gave Melanie a completely new perspective—not as an artist helping someone else, but as a woman searching for confidence of her own. She experienced firsthand the emotions, frustrations, and vulnerability that so many others face. That experience became the inspiration behind MELT Beauty Company.
Together, Melanie and Rob created MELT to be more than another beauty brand. They envisioned a company where compassion matters as much as quality, where education comes before sales, and where every customer is treated like family.
Rob, a retired military veteran whose life has been dedicated to serving others, shares Melanie’s passion for helping people rediscover confidence and purpose. Together, they built MELT on a foundation of service, integrity, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and beautiful.
